Large-Scale Remedial Roof Replacement – Meadowbank

Network Construction Services has been engaged to deliver a major remedial roof replacement project in Meadowbank, involving the systematic upgrade of seven separate roof sections across the residential complex. The project documentation identifies the seven individual roof areas that form part of the works.

Comprehensive Roof Remediation

The existing roofing system has reached a condition where extensive remedial works are required. Defective and deteriorated roof tiles, along with areas of affected sarking and associated roof components, will be addressed as part of a coordinated replacement and refurbishment program.

The works include:

  • Removal and replacement of defective roof tiles across seven roof sections

  • Replacement of damaged and deteriorated roof sarking

  • Replacement and refurbishment of fascia boards

  • Repairs and replacement to barges and gable ends

  • Repairs and replacement of eaves where required

  • Replacement and upgrading of gutters

  • Replacement of associated downpipes

  • Preparation and external painting of affected building elements

  • Making good adjoining surfaces following completion of the roofing works

  • Detailed cleaning and site reinstatement upon completion

Working Within Tight Access Conditions

A key challenge on this project is the restricted access to several roof sections.

With established landscaping, neighbouring buildings and limited working areas surrounding parts of the complex, careful planning is required for material handling, access equipment, demolition and waste removal.

Network Construction Services will coordinate the works section by section to maintain safe access throughout the project while minimising disruption to residents.

More Than Just Replacing Roof Tiles

Successful remedial roofing projects require consideration of the complete roof system, rather than simply replacing the visible roof covering.

Once the existing tiles are removed, our team can inspect the underlying roof areas and address deterioration to sarking, fascia, eaves, barges, gables and rainwater disposal systems before the new roofing system is completed.

This approach helps address the underlying causes of roof deterioration and provides the owners corporation with a more comprehensive long-term remedial solution.
