Network Construction Services has been engaged to undertake the Design & Construct conversion of an existing entertainment stage into a fully operational commercial kitchen, specifically designed to cater for seven different Asian cuisines.

The project required significant modification to the existing building structure and services to accommodate the new commercial kitchen operations.

The works included:

• Demolition and removal of the existing entertainment stage and ceiling

• Full design and coordination of the new commercial kitchen

• Structural penetrations through the existing concrete roof structure to accommodate the new commercial kitchen exhaust and fresh-air systems

• Modification and relocation of the existing sprinkler system

• Installation of new commercial kitchen exhaust hoods and mechanical ventilation

• Specialist wet-fire suppression system to the commercial kitchen exhaust hoods

• New hydraulic and drainage services throughout the kitchen

• Installation of new floor wastes and associated drainage

• New waterproofing system to the commercial kitchen floor

• Installation of a commercial-grade epoxy flooring system

• New electrical, plumbing and mechanical services to accommodate the kitchen equipment

• Supply and installation of new commercial cooking equipment

• New commercial refrigerators and freezers

• Coordination and installation of specialist kitchen equipment and services

• Testing, commissioning and final handover of the completed commercial kitchen

The completed facility has transformed the former entertainment stage into a purpose-built, high-capacity commercial kitchen capable of preparing and delivering seven different Asian cuisines from a single integrated kitchen facility.

This project demonstrates Network Construction Services’ ability to manage complex Design & Construct hospitality projects, coordinating structural, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, wet-fire, waterproofing and commercial kitchen requirements within an existing operational venue.
