Network Construction Services has been engaged to undertake a comprehensive remedial upgrade of a multi-unit residential building located on Marrickville Road, Marrickville. This project reinforces our ongoing reputation as a trusted remedial contractor for strata and multi-residential assets across New South Wales.
The scope of works includes the following key components:
Balcony Remediation: Sixteen (16) balconies will undergo full remediation, including the removal of existing finishes and the installation of a new high-performance waterproofing membrane system, designed to meet current NCC (National Construction Code) standards. Following membrane installation, new slip-rated tiling will be laid to improve durability and safety, alongside the replacement of aged and deteriorated sliding doors with new energy-efficient, weather-sealed units.
Concrete Spalling Repairs: Major concrete cancer (spalling) rectification works will be undertaken across structural elements. This process involves the removal of delaminated concrete, treatment and passivation of corroded reinforcing steel, and reinstatement using high-strength repair mortars to restore the structural integrity and extend the service life of the building.
Brickwork Stitching and Masonry Repairs: Targeted structural crack repairs will be completed through brick stitching techniques, involving the installation of stainless steel helical bars bonded into mortar joints. This method strengthens cracked masonry and prevents further movement, ensuring the building envelope remains secure and resilient.
Throughout the project, Network Construction Services will implement stringent quality control processes, compliant with Australian Standards (AS 3700 for masonry, AS 3600 for concrete structures) and best practice guidelines for remedial works.
We are proud to continue delivering high-quality remedial solutions that protect and enhance the value of strata-titled properties, and we look forward to another successful project completion in Marrickville.
